We are searching for a multi-site Practice Administrator to join our patient-focused work family in beautiful sunny South-West Florida. They will be able to show progressive leadership in healthcare-with a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience, preferably in an ophthalmic setting. The incumbent responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: strategic planning, governmental compliance, preparation of an annual budget (to include clinic and ASC surgical center), revenue cycle monitoring, monitoring and approval of expenditures, financial health of the practice, development of market strategies, contract negotiations, and adherence to quality assurance programs.

**Incumbents of this position will be required to submit to a post-offer urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use and on an ongoing basis after hire, as directed.

Occasional travel to satellite clinics in North Port or Venice may be required.

The successful candidate will work with patients by greeting, registering, and checking them out. The new registrar will also be working with insurance authorizations and referrals.

This position is detail oriented and requires a high level of confidentiality and reliability.

Experience in a medical practice, as well as billing and coding experience, is desirable but not necessary.

The ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential. The successful candidate will be a member of the of the entire Community Eye Center Team. As a team member, you may need to occasionally travel to other clinic locations ( currently Venice and North Port).

The successful candidate will (not limited to):

Update patient records in EMR.

Observe and follow patient/provider appointments in order to scribe physician communicated medical information directly into our EMR system.

Be skilled with medical terminology.

Understand the basic elements of a patient appointment.

Have a basic knowledge of the patient clinic experience from front door to, exam, to billing and coding.

Possess great attention to detail.

Reconcile medications with/for patient

Complete standing orders for labs and procedures

Review and process incoming documents

Fill out necessary paperwork for patients

Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and co-workers

Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
