A Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Liss provides comprehensive ophthalmic care with an interest in advanced cataract surgery, macular degeneration and inflammatory disorders of the eye.

Publishing research in the areas of retinal disease, refractive surgery, glaucoma and disorders of the ocular immune system, Dr. Liss is a recognized speaker, presenting his findings at multiple national ophthalmology conferences.

Providing a full range of superior ophthalmic care to patients, Dr. Liss considers treating patients to be his privilege; he is motivated by improving the lives of his patients. He recalls the greatest honor of his career as surgically restoring sight for a patient who became completely reliant upon the care of family members due to advanced cataracts.

Born and raised in Sarasota, FL, he is proud to call himself a native Floridian. Spending the majority of his life in Southwest Florida, he values the community and cherishes any opportunity to participate in the many local charities and causes that Community Eye Center supports.

Dr. Liss spends his free time enjoying the beautiful weather in Southwest Florida with his dog, gardening and cultivating tropical fruit.

A dedicated and professional Board Certified Optometrist at Community Eye Center, Dr. Memoli’s specialty is direct patient care with emphasis in primary eye care, ocular disease and contact lenses. She has managed an optical dispensary and has comanaged surgical care. Dr. Memoli strives to provide the highest quality eye-care to her patients; whether it’s managing conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and dry eye disease, or prescribing eye-glasses and contact lenses. She believes the doctor-patient relationship is paramount for the successful management of a person’s care and is dedicated to treating patients like she would any member of her family.

An established and highly skilled Board Certified Ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Spadafora serves as Medical Director at Community Eye Center (CEC).

Dr. Spadafora upholds CEC’s commitment to continuous improvement in quality through adaptation of technological advances with his national medical research. During the past three decades, Dr. Spadafora performed research in ocular anti-inflammatory agents, glaucoma, medicines, ocular antibiotic agents and laser-guided cataract extraction at St. Lucy’s Outpatient Surgery Center.

Sharing his knowledge and expertise, Dr. Spadafora acted as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida, Tampa. An altruistic role, he considers the cultivation of future ophthalmologists the lifeblood of his discipline and field.

In addition to his national research and benevolent teaching endeavors, Dr. Spadafora is ingrained in the community. A part of countless efforts to give back to the local community, he also served on the Board of Governor of Prevent Blindness. Florida.

A true nature lover, Dr. Spadafora spends time outside of the office at his experimental farm in Arcadia.
